Project Description

Wli Waterfalls

n the Volta region of the Republic of Ghana, one of the world and nature’s wonders stands tall inside a forest no less. The Wli Waterfall is the tallest waterfall in West Africa, measuring at approx 144 metres from the upper fall to the beautiful plunge pool below.  It is a natural attraction every person must visit when coming to Ghana.

There is a path leading to the waterfall through the beautiful vibrant green forest.  It starts from the Visitor Information Centre.  The path is covered by the huge tall trees, so you get the feel of being in a mystical enchanted forest.  Before you reach the falls there are an amazing nine wooden foot bridges that have been built over the nine meanders of the AGUMATSA RIVER, where the falls are located.
